Sèarkling wine brut
Classic Method
Why is it called that?
The name NEAR 70 30 is a compound name. 70 nebbiolo 30 arneis. Playing with words, we liked to tell people that it is a wine “close” to the territory because, to produce it, we use two native grape varieties that are unusual for bubbles…
Why we do it
Our tradition, what our grandparents and great-grandparents taught us about wine and the land, is precious to us. But from them we have also learned the passion for new things, the taste of trying new ways, the joy of new flavours. Everyone likes bubbles, and we like to offer good and cheerful wines.
Where we do it
Our lands, our vineyards, our wines. When we decided to produce a sparkling wine, we could choose to produce it with grapes of international grapes, with which it is perhaps easier to obtain this variety of wine. But what all Patrunet bottles have in common is that they tell the story of our piece of Roero, and we have decided that bubbles should make no exception.
How to do it
Only our grapes, only native grape varieties. The ones that have always been here and were planted by our grandparents’ grandparents: our sparkling wine is made with Nebbiolo and Arneis wine. A lot of hard work in the vineyard, a lot of hard work in the cellar; it takes at least three years of care and patience to obtain a classic method sparkling wine. So we brought out the sparkling side of Roero; the right freshness and acidity together with the unmistakable complexity that is the character of these hills.
How to drink it
Matching bubbles isn’t hard, is it? Just the name is enough to say party, toasts, aperitif. And our sparkling wine certainly does not fade at this time; and if you want to treat yourself to a first course of fish or some tasty frying, it is the ideal accomplice. But we want to share with you a tasty discovery: it’s irresistible with our hazelnuts. They grow in the Valvecchia vineyard, where children can run and climb. If you want to try them, come and visit us, you can find them in the cellar along with our wines.
